Disclaimer - Castle
This Disclaimer applies to all
Castle
streaming services, design and content in India. It includes the Android APK, PC-compatible media library (including movies, videos, etc.), organized web series, some international dramas, along with cross-device features like one-click play, playlists and offline downloads. It is fully compliant with India’s Information Technology Act 2000 (and its Rules), Consumer Protection Act 2019, IT Rules 2021 and Cinematograph (Certification) Rules (COTP) 2023, which outline Castle’s limitations of liability and user responsibilities. Your acceptance of the terms of this agreement (as set forth below) shall have the same force and effect as if you had actually signed an agreement containing these terms. You agree to read and understand all of the following terms before downloading, installing or using any Castle service on your device.
1. Service Warranty Disclaimer
Castle does not make any express or implied warranties of any kind, whether statutory, contractual or otherwise, and specifically disclaims all such warranties, providing its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Though we cover various online hosting sources to allow you to stream media content without hassle, the app's service is not fully reliable, and there may be downtime or outages beyond our control. These issues may arise due to scheduled server maintenance, network outages, interference from ISPs, low-bandwidth connections, or unforeseen device compatibility issues (such as lack of support for older Android devices or outdated PC configurations).
2. Limitation of Liability
In the event that you use Castle's services or are unable to use Castle's services, we will not be liable for any incidental, consequential, direct, indirect or special damages. This includes damage caused by service outages; content failure due to changes in licensing, regional copyright restrictions, or decisions by third-party content providers; APK installation issues; failures of playlists and downloads to play offline content; and network-related problems that impact live sports (like IPL cricket and football) or non-Indian drama streaming — even if it ultimately makes it impossible to access your favorite programming.
3. Third-Party Content & Regulatory Compliance
The vast majority of Castle’s content consists of licensed programming from third-party copyright holders, such as global drama distributors, local production companies, sports leagues and movie studios. This third-party content is not the property of Castle, and Castle therefore assumes no express or implied responsibility for its correctness or fitness for any purpose. We reserve the right to modify, remove or add any content at our own discretion and without prior notice, based on license agreements, applicable laws, or relevance to the Indian audience. Castle is also compliant with India’s COTP Rules 2023, which require health spots for certain content as well as anti-tobacco warnings across all compatible devices.
4. User Responsibility & General Provisions
You clearly and unequivocally agree that use of Castle is entirely at your own risk.
Safety and Security
: We are under no obligation to compensate, investigate, discuss or provide recourse for any damage to property, devices, or data issues resulting from the use of unofficial versions of the PC program and/or Android APK that allow access to our platform. Such software is not managed by Castle and may contain malware and security vulnerabilities. Castle includes links to third-party websites, but we have no control over the privacy policies or practices of such linked third-party websites, consumer reporting agencies, data brokers, etc., and are not responsible for them. Nothing in this clause shall exclude or limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence on our part, and our liability shall be subject to the limits specified in any applicable Indian law. This Disclaimer is part of Castle’s Terms of Service, and in the event of any conflict between these terms and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall take precedence.
